Just returned from an engaging and insightful EU-GCC Dialogue on Economic Diversification Business Forum 2023. As CEO of HUB2ENERGY and President of the Portuguese Business Council – Kuwait, I found the forum to be an excellent platform for discussing sustainable energy and economic collaboration between the #EU and #GCC.
🌍 Focus on Sustainable Energy: The forum set the stage for greater #EU-GCC cooperation, especially in the run-up to #COP28. Exciting times ahead for sustainable energy initiatives!
📈 Economic Opportunities: Despite challenges in finalizing the GCC-EU FTA, there’s a clear push in the region towards energy transitions, offering significant opportunities for businesses.
👩‍💼 Empowering Women in Energy: The women’s energy panel was a highlight, showcasing inspiring leadership and innovative perspectives in the sector.
🤝 Next Steps and Networking: The emphasis was on actionable steps to strengthen EU-GCC business relations. Also, a big shout-out to my friend Douglas Aitkenhead for his role in the organization – great to connect again.
🌐 European Business Council Prospects: As President of the Portuguese Business Council Kuwait, I am particularly enthused about the discussions around establishing a #EuropeanBusinessCouncil. This initiative holds great promise for fostering deeper #EUGCC ties.
