2026 EU–Kuwait Green Transition Forum: *Energy for a Sustainable Future*

On 8 February 2026, HUB2ENERGY was proud to participate in the EU–Kuwait Green Transition Forum: *Energy for a Sustainable Future*, hosted at the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR).

We contributed to **two panel sessions**:

🔹 **Session | Energy Efficiency ** — António Azevedo Campos shared a simple message: efficiency scales when it’s treated as *infrastructure*, not a collection of projects. That means clear ownership, standard delivery models, and digital measurement so savings become investable — especially in cooling-heavy public assets where the impact on peak demand is immediate. He also underlined that scaling requires programme architecture and finance, not only good projects. Hub2Energy is ready to support Kuwait by mobilising climate finance and partnering on structures that make efficiency investable: standard contracts, digital MRV, and multi‑year funding that can crowd in private capital.

🔹 **Session | Renewable Energy ** — Rui Marques highlighted that renewables don’t scale on megawatts alone. They scale on **people**: the skills, training, and new capabilities needed across project delivery, grid integration, storage readiness, operations & maintenance, and data-driven performance.

Key takeaway:
✅ Projects prove. **Programmes scale**.
And programmes only work when capability-building is part of the design.

Thank you to the @EU Delegation to the State of Kuwait, the EU-GCC Cooperation on Green Transition, Ministry of Electricity and Water , Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, Kuwait Authority for Partnership Projects, Public Authority for Housing Welfare and all partners for convening a focused dialogue on delivery.
